JD Tinkey is entering his second season as the assistant coach for the Men’s Golf team, and his first season as an assistant coach for the Men’s Basketball team at La Roche College. Tinkey came to the Redhawks as an intern in 2011, becoming the Intramural Sports Coordinator and Assistant Sports Information Director in addition to his coaching responsibilities.

Tinkey earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University in 2011, specializing in Exercise Science and Sports Administration. Tinkey was elected President of the MSU Club Baseball team in 2010, where he pitched and played third base for the Spartans.
