D3Baseball.com released their All-Region teams today and a school record three Redhawks made the list. La Roche Baseball second baseman Colin Feikles and starting pitcher Tyler Ferguson were named to the Mideast Region's All-Region First Team and first baseman Brian Tougher was chosen for the Third Team.
Feikles was named as the AMCC's Player of the Year after leading the conference in batting average, hits, RBI, runs, doubles, total bases, on base percentage, and slugging percentage against conference opponents. He was also named the National Player of the Week, ECAC Player of the Week, AMCC Player of the Week, and to D3Baseball's Team of the Week.
Ferguson broke the AMCC's single season strikeout record and finished the year tied for the nation's lead in wins and second in the nation in strikeouts. He was also an ECAC Pitcher of the Week, a 2-time AMCC Pitcher of the Week, and an AMCC All-Conference Second Team performer.
Tougher was an AMCC All-Conference First Team selection as well as AMCC Player of the Week. He finished second in the conference in RBI, hits, and doubles while ranking third in total bases, fourth in runs, and fifth in home runs.
774 players were nominated and voted on by Sports Information Directors and the D3Baseball.com staff.
This marks the second consecutive year that La Roche Baseball has been represented on the All-Region teams as James Connelly and Jesse Bauer both received the honor last season.
