La Roche Men's Baseball joined the Pittsburgh Pirates CARE-a-van event to make a difference in many lives. On Thursday, December 11th the Redhawks donated their time and talents to help make a difference in the community.
They volunteered at The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, which is a non-profit organization that collects and distributes food to the less fortunate in Pennsylvania. A total of 11 cities in the greater Pittsburgh were impacted by this community service event. The Food Bank has been serving the public for 30 years. This organization uses volunteers to help organize and assemble the boxes of food that is sent out to the less fortunate.
The mission of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank is to feed the hungry in southwestern Pennsylvania through a network of partners and to mobilize our region to end hunger. The La Roche Men's Baseball team played an important role this season by helping to end hunger in southwestern Pennsylvania.
