Feikles, Ferguson, and Barlamas Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Players to Watch, Redhawks Receive Votes in Preseason Poll

The Redhawks (31-15 in 2014) had seniors LHP Tyler Ferguson (11-4, 2.56 era, 107 k), 2B Colin Feikles (.435 ba, 4 hr, 41 rbi, 42 r, .718 slg), and LF Franzee Barlamas (.401 ba, 44 rbi, 40 r) named 2015 Players to Watch by the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.

La Roche Baseball also received votes in the nation's Top 30 preseason poll and will return eight offensive players from a lineup that finished third in the NCAA in batting average and among the top 10 in several more offensive categories. Ferguson along with senior Walt Hadjuk will help solidify a veteran pitching staff. The Redhawks also add two Division 1 transfers to fill voids in the rotation and at shortstop which were left by graduating seniors Cole Lentz and Sean Lubin.  Freshman Regis Sauers, sophomore transfer David Lemley, and Trey Claar will battle for spots in the rotation and help solidify the back end of the bullpen.

The Redhawks open with double headers against Waynesburg (February 28) and W&J (March 3) before heading to Port St. Lucie for the teams annual Spring Trip.
