Baseball Wins Sixth Straight After Defeating Mt. Aloysius 7-2, 7-0

CRESSON, PA -- La Roche Baseball won a pair of games against Mt. Aloysius College 7-2, 7-0 to improve to 6-0 in the AMCC. Starting pitchers Regis Sauers and Tanner Wilt both had quality starts for the Redhawks.

Sauers earned his team-leading third win of the season after tossing the complete game victory. He struck out five batters and gave up 2 runs on 7 hits.

Luis Navedo provided nearly half of the Redhawk offense with 3 RBI on two hits. Colin Williamson and John Watson each reached base three times and scored twice. Franzee Barlamas had two hits and scored in the win.

Wilt struck out 8 batters in seven innings to help La Roche earn their second shutout of the season. Only seven Mounties reached base against Wilt and just one made it past second base. Trey Claar and Brady Hamer each threw a perfect inning in relief.

Cory Podvasnik hit a 2-run blast for his first career home run. Watson and Colin Feikles had 2 RBI while Williamson had 2 runs. Feikles and Navedo finished with 3 hits apiece.

La Roche Baseball will host Medaille this Saturday in AMCC Conference play. The double-header was moved from Buffalo and will be played on campus at 1PM.
