La Roche College Baseball has added more hardware to it's trophy case. Today, D3Baseball honored starting pitcher Tanner Wilt and outfielder Luis Navedo with spots on the All-America Team. Wilt and Navedo are the first players in program history to make D3Baseball's All-America Team and join Colin Feikles (ABCA/Rawlings All-America Third Team) as Redhawk All-Americans.
Wilt is on D3Baseball's All-America Third Team. He has won virtually every award a player can win this season. He's earned spots on D3Baseball's and ABCA All-Region First Teams, AMCC Pitcher of the Year, AMCC Pitcher of the Week (twice) and D3Baseball's Team of the Week (twice). He was one of the top pitchers in the country all season long ranking 4th in WHIP, 7th in strikeouts and ERA, and 8th in hits allowed. He led the AMCC in almost every statistical category and currently ranks third on the AMCC's single season strikeout record list.
Navedo continues to build on his accolades making D3Baseball's All-America Honorable Mention Team. Navedo had already earned a spot on the Mideast All-Region First Team and AMCC All-Conference First Team before getting the All-America nod. He was also on D3Baseball's Team of the week and an ABCA National Player of the Week Honorable Mention after belting four home runs in one day against Pitt-Greensburg. Navedo is currently hitting .421 with 47 runs, 19 doubles, 9 home runs and 40 RBIs.
