Senior outfielders Luis Navedo and Corey Lazor have been named D3Baseball Preseason All-Americans for the upcoming 2017 season. Navedo is a First Team Preseason All-American and Lazor is a Second Team All-American. La Roche is just one of two teams to have two players named Preseason All-Americans.
Navedo is a Preseason First Teamer after receiving a spot on the All-American Honorable Mention Team in May. Navedo was also First Team All-Region and AMCC All-Conference First Team. Last season, he hit .408 with 10 home runs, 19 doubles, 50 runs and 44 RBI. Navedo is currently tied for the school's home run record (14).
Lazor was on the Mideast All-Region Second Team after his record breaking season last year. He was also an AMCC All-Conference selection. Lazor broke the school's single season hit record with 81 which also ranked seventh nationally. He led the nation with 10 triples and ranked sixth in total bases. He also led the AMCC in all three categories.
The Redhawks are ranked fourth in College Baseball News' Top 25 poll and the D3Baseball Poll will be released next week.
