The Redhawk offense showed its true colors today in a big bounce back win over Lebanon Valley 11-3.
Ian Velez sparked the offense in the top of the first with a single and after a hit from Corey Lazor and David Lemley, Velez would electrify the Redhawks by stealing home and giving La Roche an early lead. The offense didn't stop there and Joe Professori would bring in Lazor on a sac fly, and a Mitchell Yard single would score Lemley to give the Redhawks a 3-0 lead in the first.
They picked up right where they left off in the 3rd inning when Luis Navedo and David Lemley went back to back over the centerfield wall to extend the lead to 5-0. Two batters later Shane Roebuck launched a 3 run shot over the left field wall as the Redhawks were firing on all cylinders early on.
Anthony Romano was the La Roche starter and went 4 innings allowing only 2 hits while striking out a batter. Tanner Stanz earned his first win of the season going 2 innings in relief and only allowing one hit. Ryan Petrone and Jesse Savisky also threw two scoreless innings of relief.
The potent Redhawk offense had 15 hits on the day including 2 doubles from Taylor Huber, 2 hits from David Lemley, Mitchell Yard, and Angel Morales. Shane Roebuck added 4 RBI to his performance today, and Morales also added his first homerun in a Redhawk uniform to give the Redhawks their 3rd win of the season.
The Redhawks are back in action tomorrow against Misercordia at 1:30.
