Redhawks Enjoy Largest Win in Eight Years

PITTSBURGH, PA – Four Redhawks scored in double figures as La Roche Men's Basketball (9-1, 4-0) rolled to an 89-53 win over Penn State Altoona (1-9, 1-3) at the Kerr Fitness Center.

Nate Wojciechowski (Glassport, PA/East Allegheny HS) led all scorers with 19 points including a 7 for 7 performance and 15 points in the second half. Terrence Fountain (Cleveland, OH/Brookhaven HS) chipped-in a career-high 14 points and hit 4 of 4 three pointers.

Derek Barber-Richards (Landover, MD/Northwestern HS) (11 points) and Laron Mann (Accoceek, MD/Gwynn Park HS) (10 points) each finished in double figures and Mann registered a season-high 7 assists.

The Redhawks shot 56% from the field including 68% from three-point range.

The Redhawks' 36 point win is its largest since 2002. The Redhawks' 89 points are also the most in a non-overtime game since a 92-77 win over Mt. Aloysius College on January 10, 2007.

La Roche Men's Basketball will travel to D'Youville College on Saturday, January 8 at 4:00PM to take on the Spartans.
