PITTSBURGH, PA – La Roche men's basketball (14-8, 12-3) cruised to a 92-59 win over Franciscan University (0-22, 0-15) on Wednesday in AMCC Conference play. The win is their sixth straight and improves their record to 7-1 at the Kerr Fitness Center.
The Redhawks held Franciscan to just 6 points in the opening fifteen minutes and enjoyed a 46-17 halftime lead. La Roche shot 53% in the opening frame and Ryan Frantz scored 12 first half points.

"Today was a big win in the grand scheme of things," Coach Tinkey said. "Franciscan does a great job of frustrating its opponents and we're very proud of how our guys responded."
Frantz and Daron Tabron led the Redhawks with 15 points apiece and Neal McKown added 10 points and went 6 for 9 from the free throw line. Lionel Perkins finished with 9 points and Joe Dice and Jimmy Hawley each scored 7 points. Joel McIntosh chipped in 6 points and 7 rebounds in the win.

"We're playing with intensity on defense and unselfishness on offense that really makes it fun for the coaching staff. The guys in our locker room are improving everyday and we feel that our best basketball is still ahead of us."
The Redhawks will host Penn State Behrend on Saturday in an important conference game. La Roche defeated the Lions 71-69 (3 OT) on January 12 and are 5-2 against them over the past three seasons.
