La Roche men's basketball has announced that Andy Bott has been named the team's Associate Head Coach.
"Coach Bott is such a valuable asset to this program", said Head Coach Hermie Carmichael. "There isn't anything he won't put his hands into and wants to be a part of it all. He's been All-In with this program for many years now and well deserving of this new title"
Bott is entering his ninth year with the La Roche College men's basketball program. His coaching career started under of Coach Scott Lang who provided help and guidance while Coach Bott was a young coach. His understanding of the men's basketball program and the La Roche community helped the team to the 2011 AMCC Championship and AMCC Regular Season Titles in 2011 and 2013.
"The Redhawk program, Coach Carmichael, and La Roche College have given me another great opportunity. I'm blessed and thankful to work and be around such good people."
Bott's main responsibilities will include assisting and planning daily practice, working with post players in practice, film exchange, scouting opponents and recruiting.
A native of Akron, Ohio, Bott enjoys watching all of the La Roche College sports teams. He is employed by the college and pursuing his Master's Degree in Human Resources Management.
