Redding Scores 16 in Loss to Mt. Aloysius

PITTSBURGH, PA – Zaire Redding scored a team-high 16 points and hit 8 of 9 shots in the Redhawks' 74-57 loss to Mt. Aloysius on Wednesday night.

La Roche (44%, 23 of 52 FG) and Mt. Aloysius (46%, 29 of 63FG) had nearly identical field goal percentages but the Mounties attempted eleven more field goals and shot 42% (8 of 19) from beyond the arc. Mt. Aloysius won the turnover battle (21-11) outscoring the Redhawks by seventeen off of turnovers.

Redding finished with 16 points while Torin Smith added 10 points and drained 2 three-pointers. Dion Etheridge and Mikal Boykin each had 6 points and Jaewon Mitchell pulled downed 6 rebounds.

The Redhawks return to the Fitness Center on Saturday to take on the D'Youville College Spartans. Before the game, Darla Cappello, Amy Friel, Nichol Costantini, and Nick Wendell will be inducted into the La Roche College Athletics Hall of Fame.
