Hilbert Holds On For 69-61 Win Over La Roche

HAMBURG, NY – The Redhawks overcame a thirteen point deficit to tie it late, but ultimately fell to Hilbert 69-61.

La Roche used a 16-6 run over a twelve minute stretch in the second half to tie it at the 4:18 mark. Five different Redhawks provided baskets during the course of the run including Zaire Redding who hit a pair of free throws to even it up. Hilbert responded with a run of their own and, despite an Isiah Barber three-pointer, held on for the victory.

Redding led La Roche with 12 points to go along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Arnez Bajogra finished with 11 points and 5 rebounds and Torin Smith added 10 points. Jaewon Mitchell had 8 points and 7 rebounds in the loss.

The men's basketball team will travel to Pitt-Greensburg on Wednesday for a conference game. The Redhawks dropped an 86-84 thriller to Greensburg earlier this year.
