Redhawks Drop Regular Season Finale at Franciscan

STEUBENVILLE, OH -- The La Roche men's lacrosse team dropped their regular season finale falling at Franciscan 27-9. Even with the loss, there is still a chance that the Redhawks play in the AMCC Tournament on the weekend of May 6.

La Roche evened the Barons over the first fifteen minutes. Brent Burkhous opened the scoring just over a minute into the contest. Franciscan answered but Brad LaBovick alternated goals with the Barons as the quarter ended deadlocked at 3-3.

Franciscan took control in the second quarter. Shayne Rhodes and Alex Riegel tallied goals for the Redhawks but La Roche was outscored 12-2 in the quarter. 

LaBovick added two more goals in the second half. Burkhouse netted a second and Harrison Thatcher registered a goal late. Burkhouse provided La Roche's two helpers.

Rhodes, Ty Savochka, Jallah Nelson and Gus Liberto all forced two turnovers. Burkhouse and Rhodes combined for ten ground balls.
