Redhawks Top Mt. Aloysius to Improve to 7-3

PITTSBURGH, PA – La Roche men's soccer (7-3, 1-1) scored three second half goals to secure a 4-0 win over AMCC Conference foe Mt. Aloysius (3-7, 0-2) at the La Roche Soccer Field. It is the Redhawks seventh consecutive win against the Mounties.

Chad Trozzi gave the Redhawks a 1-0 lead less than twenty-five minutes into the contest when he trapped a Bryan Weimerskirch header and shot it passed a diving Mt. Aloysius goalkeeper. Weimerskirch added a goal in the fiftieth minute when he buried a pass from Yousef Barqawi and then set up a goal to Ryan Luffey in the sixty-fifth minute. Gilbert Uwineza scored his first goal of the season in the eighty-fifth minute to put the game out of reach.

Weimerskirch recorded his eighth goal of the season and added his AMCC-leading sixth and seventh assists of the season. Luffey and Trozzi scored their fourth and third goals respectively and Barqawi and Andy Eisenbarth finished with an assist a piece.

Nick Sabol made four saves to record his first shutout of the season.
