BUFFALO, NY – La Roche men's soccer (7-4, 1-2) could not hold a one-goal lead, falling to D'Youville College (2-8, 1-2) 3-1 in an AMCC Conference game at Riverside High School.

Robert Fraino gave the Redhawks a 1-0 lead less than two minutes into the game before the host Spartans stormed back with three unanswered goals.

Despite the loss, La Roche finished with twelve shots including nine which reached the net. Adam Minnaugh and Philip Ross finished with two shots on goal apiece and Michael Brunozzi made six saves.

The Redhawks will return to action on Wednesday when they host Franciscan University. Last season La Roche beat Franciscan 2-1 in overtime.
