La Roche men's soccer forward, Bryan Weimerskirch, has been named the ECAC South Men's Soccer Rookie of the Year. The ECAC South region consists of teams from the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference, Capital Athletic Conference, Centennial Conference, Colonial States Athletic Conference, Middle Atlantic Conference, and Presidents Athletic Conference. 

Weimerskirch enjoyed an historic freshman season tying the school's record for most points in a season with thirty-three points. He ranked fourth in the AMCC in points, fourth in assists (9 assists), and fifth in goals (12 goals). Weimerskirch finished with two game winning goals and led the Redhawks in goals and points.

Weimerskirch was also named as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Newcomer of the Year and was an All-Conference Second Team Selection.
