CRESSON, PA – La Roche Softball (17-18) beat Penn St. Behrend (15-17) 5-0 before falling to Mt. Aloysius (26-9) 5-1 in the AMCC Conference Tournament. The loss eliminates the Lady Redhawks from the AMCC Tournament and postseason play.

Starting pitcher, Kara Jo Egelsky, threw all seven innings in the 5-0 win over Penn St. Behrend. Egelsky recorded her third shutout of the season and allowed four hits while striking out one and walking none.

Ashley Baron went 2 for 3 with a run scored and a triple. Sydnie Martin reached base twice, scored twice, and added an RBI. Amber Steenbeke recorded an RBI and a run scored.

Ashley Baron hit her AMCC-leading sixth triple of the season in the 5-1 loss to Mt. Aloysius College.

Starting pitcher, Deanna Tritinger, threw 4 2/3 innings and allowed four runs (two earned runs) on eight hits while striking out three batters and walking two.

Chelsea Faynor registered a hit and scored the Lady Redhawks only run. Amanda Varhula added an RBI in the loss.
