Lady Redhawks Shoot 47% From Three-Point Land in 88-57 Win Over Ursuline

PITTSBURGH, PA – The Lady Redhawks shot a season-high 55% including 70% in the first half as La Roche Women's Basketball (3-1) cruised to an 88-57 win over Ursuline College (2-4) in a non-conference game at the Kerr Fitness Center. It is the Lady Redhawks most lopsided victory since an 84-31 win over Hilbert College on January 22, 2011.

Jessica Pitts scored 15 points on 7 of 10 shooting and Casie Cygan added 15 points including four three-pointers. Chloe' Stewart registered a season-high 15 points and 7 assists and Amanda Garland finished with 12 points and 5 rebounds.

The Lady Redhawks outscored Ursuline in the paint 34-16 and 26-10 off of turnovers. La Roche also led the Arrows in bench points 26-10 and shot 47% from three-point land.

The Lady Redhawks will open AMCC Conference play on Wednesday when they host Mt. Aloysius College. Last season La Roche swept the two game series with the Mounties.

Notes: Amber Perry, Shataya White, and Rashontala Murtaza all scored their first career points and Jazmyne Hayes recorded her first career rebound.
