Four Lady Redhawks Reach Double-Figures in Win over W&J

WASHINGTON, PA – LaShauna Brothers scored a career-high 17 points and the Lady Redhawks (2-2) forced 28 turnovers in an 83-70 win over Washington & Jefferson (3-1) on Saturday afternoon. The victory ends a three game winning streak for the host Presidents.

Four Lady Redhawks recorded double-figures included Brothers who had a team-high 17 points. Casie Cygan went 4 for 5 from three-point range and hit all four of her free throws to net 16 points. Jessica Pitts finished with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Amanda Garland registered 14 points and 4 steals. Leslie McPherson had a career-high 9 assists in the win.

La Roche hit a season-high 31 field goals and shot 47% from behind the arc. The Lady Redhawks also went 13 for 18 from the free throw line and assisted on 71% of their field goals.

Next up for La Roche women's basketball is Chatham University. The Lady Redhawks will travel to Shadyside on Monday at 7:00PM before returning to the Fitness Center on Thursday to take on Carlow.
