Cygan and Pitts Earn Spots on Regional All-Star Teams

The Lady Redhawks' terrific season has earned Casie Cygan and Jessica Pitts regional recognition.

Cygan was named to the D3Hoops' Great Lakes Regional Third Team after leading the AMCC Conference in scoring and finishing in the top 15 in field goal percentage, assists, free throw percentage, steals, 3-point percentage, 3-pointers made, and minutes played. Cygan scored her 1000th career points on February 6 against Franciscan and was also an AMCC All-Conference First Team selection. She is just the second Lady Redhawk to receive All-Region honors and the first since Chantelle Jennings in 2010.

Pitts was named to the ECAC All-Conference Second Team after leading the AMCC Conference in rebounding, field goal percentage, assists, steals, assist to turnover ratio, and defensive rebounds. She ranked seventh in the AMCC in points and recorded the school's first-ever triple double. Jessica registered her 1000th career point in a win over Pitt-Bradford on February 2 and was selected AMCC Player of the Week four times this season.  She was also named the AMCC Player of the Year, the Defensive Player of the Year, and to the All-Conference First Team.
