Women's Basketball Predicted to Win Fourth Straight AMCC Championship

The La Roche women's basketball team was predicted to win their fourth straight AMCC Championship in the 2013-2014 coaches poll released today.

The three-time defending AMCC champions clinched their third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and finished last season with a school record 24 wins and an 18-1 conference record. The Lady Redhawks also ranked among the nation's best offenses.

Senior Casie Cygan was named a Preseason Player to Watch after garnering AMCC First Team All-Conference honors and leading the AMCC with 18.2 points per game. She ranked 47th nationally in points per game and last season reached 1000 career points.

Junior LaShauna Brothers is also a Preseason Player to Watch and scored 11.7 points per game while finishing second in the AMCC in steals with 2.9 per game.
