Women's Basketball Improves to 3-0 With 69-45 Win Over Carlow

PITTSBURGH, PA -- La Roche women's basketball improved to 3-0 on the season with a 69-45 win over Carlow University on Tuesday night.

Casie Cygan scored 11 points to move past Stephanie Pencak and move into second place on the school's all-time points list. Cygan's former teammate Chantelle Jennings ranks first with 1535 career points.

Danasha Harris led all scorers with 12 points and 5 steals and MacKenzie O'Donnell registered her first career double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Leslie McPherson had a great game and finished with 11 points, 8 assists, and 4 steals while LaShauna Brothers had 8 points and 4 steals. Shataya White and Sabrina McLin each scored 7 points in the victory.

The Lady Redhawks held Carlow to just 27% from the field and 9% from beyond the arc. La Roche also assisted on 22 of 29 field goals and forced 32 turnovers.

La Roche women's basketball will travel to St. Vincent College on Saturday at 6PM. The Bearcats finished second in the PAC Conference standings last season.
