Harris Named AMCC Defensive Player of the Year; Cygan, Brothers, and O'Donnell Make All-Conference Team

Four members of the La Roche women's basketball team were honored by the AMCC for their tremendous 2014 seasons.

Danasha Harris made it three straight years that a Lady Redhawks has won the AMCC Defensive Player of the Year award. She had a terrific freshman campaign leading the AMCC in steals (3.9 spg), offensive rebounds (5.0 orpg), and field goal percentage, while ranking sixth in the conference in rebounds (8.2 rpg). 

Casie Cygan makes the First Team for a second straight year. Cygan led the AMCC in scoring (18.3 ppg) and field goals made while ranking in the AMCC top 10 in field goal percentage, 3-pointers, free throws, and steals. She was also named AMCC Player of the Week twice this season.

LaShauna Brothers was named to the Second Team and averaged 11.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.0 steals while Mackenzie O'Donnell averaged 12.3 points and 6.5 rebounds to earn Third Team All-Conference honors.
