ALLIANCE, OH – La Roche women's basketball outscored Mt. Union by twelve in the second half to come up with a big 76-63 non-conference win on Saturday.
The Lady Redhawks entered the lockerroom up just one but opened the second half on a 10-0 run to take control of the game. They held Mt. Union scoreless for over seven minutes and forced five turnovers in that span. La Roche led by as many as fifteen points late in the game and earned the thirteen point victory.
All 76 points came from La Roche's starters including a game-high 25 points by Sabrina McLin. LaShauna Brothers finished with 23 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals while Danasha Harris racked up 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. McKenzie O'Donnell had 9 points and Shataya White 4 assists in the win.
La Roche converted twenty Mt. Union turnovers into twenty-seven points. The Lady Redhawks also shot 44% (26 of 59) for the game and hit 19 of 23 (83%) free throws.
The women's basketball team will close out 2014 when they travel to Waynesburg University on Tuesday. Tip-off is 2PM.
