Brothers 19 Points, 10 Rebounds in Win Over Mt. Aloysius

PITTSBURGH, PA – Four Lady Redhawks scored in double-figures and Demetria Coleman pulled down twleve rebounds as La Roche hung on for a 71-59 victory over Mt. Aloysius. The win is La Roche's eighth straight and it keeps them unbeaten in AMCC Conference play.

La Roche overcame their second straight slow start to take a 33-23 lead into halftime. Shataya White needed just a half to get into double-figures (10 points) while Mackenzie O'Donnell (6 rebounds) and Danasha Harris (5 rebounds) helped the Lady Redhawks control the glass.

Mt. Aloysius kept it close throughout the second half but LaShauna Brothers' fourteen points and La Roche's ability on the glass put the Mounties away.

Brothers finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds to record the double-double. Sabrina McLin (17 points) reached double-figures for the eighth straight game while White and O'Donnell each had 12 points. Demetria Coleman pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds in the win.

La Roche dominated the boards pulling down 51 rebounds including 20 on the offensive glass. They forced 23 Mountie turnovers and held them to just 4 of 17 three pointers.

The Lady Redhawks return to the Fitness Center on Saturday to take on the D'Youville College Spartans. Following the game, Darla Cappello, Amy Friel, Nichol Costantini, and Nick Wendell will be inducted into the La Roche College Athletics Hall of Fame.
