PITTSBURGH, PA – La Roche upped their win-streak to nine games and improved to 13-0 in the AMCC with an 88-53 win over D'Youville on Hall of Fame Day.
La Roche's tough half court defense forced seventeen turnovers and held D'Youville to just twenty-six field goal attempts as they carried a 39-27 lead into intermission. The Lady Redhawks displayed a strong inside presence scoring twenty-eight points including 12 by LaShauna Brothers and 11 by Mackenzie O'Donnell.
The Lady Redhawks continued their strong defensive play in the second forcing twelve turnovers and running away in the contest. La Roche outrebounded the Spartans 26-13 and Sabrina McLin provided 14 points.
Brothers and O'Donnell each finished with 20 points and 7 rebounds. McLin chipped in 19 points and 7 assists while Shataya White added 13 points and 7 assists. Demetria Coleman had 9 points and 7 rebounds in the victory.
La Roche controlled the boards winning the rebounding battle 46-32 and 23-8 on the offensive end. They assisted on 28 of 35 field goals and forced twenty-nine Spartan turnovers.
La Roche will enjoy their Wednesday bye before heading up to Hilbert on Saturday.
