HAMBURG, NY – La Roche's win-streak hit double-digits for just the third time in school history after they beat Hilbert College 74-60 on Saturday afternoon. The victory improves the Lady Redhawks to 14-0 in the AMCC and clinches a bye in the conference tournament.
Four Lady Redhawks reached double figures including Sabrina McLin who scored a game-high 23 points. Shataya White finished with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists while Mackenzie O'Donnell had 12 points and Danasha Harris 10 points and 9 rebounds. Hilbert's Shannon Rogers contributed 22 points and 23 rebounds in the losing effort.
Hilbert won the rebounding battle 50-41, but the Hawks shot just 49% (18 of 37) from the foul line. La Roche's press was extremely effective turning 24 Hilbert turnovers into 36 points.
The Lady Redhawks are now entering the toughest part of their schedule facing four of the top six teams in the conference (Pitt-Greensburg, Pitt-Bradford, Franciscan, Medaille). La Roche travels to Pitt-Greensburg on Wednesday for a 6pm tip.
