PITTSBURGH, PA – La Roche fell to Pitt-Bradford 64-52 on Saturday afternoon ending their twelve game win-streak and incredible 47 game conference home win-streak.
Pitt-Bradford was extremely efficient in the first half shooting 62% to take a 35-17 lead into the lockerroom. Sabrina McLin kept La Roche in the game with 8 points while Bradford's Kaserra Owens hit 6 of 7 first half shots (12 points).
The Lady Redhawks responded in the second half cutting the deficit to single digits. La Roche held the Panthers to just 39% shooting to get back in it but went 0 for 10 from three-point range as the visitors hung on.
McLin led the Lady Redhawks with 14 points while Mackenzie O'Donnell added 12 points and LaShauna Brothers 10 points. La Roche assisted on 18 of 22 field goals including Brothers who had 6 and McLin and O'Donnell who had 4 assists apiece. O'Donnell and Danasha Harris pulled down 8 boards each.
The Lady Redhawks will try to wrap-up home court advantage on Wednesday when they travel to Franciscan University. Tip-off is 6pm.
