Lady Redhawks Win Fifth Straight AMCC Regular Season Title, Will Host AMCC Tournament

STEUBENVILLE, OH – The La Roche Lady Redhawks became the first team to win five straight AMCC Regular Season titles when they defeated Franciscan University 79-63 on Wednesday night. The victory clinches the #1 seed and home court advantage in the AMCC Tournament.

LaShauna Brothers scored 23 points to move into sixth place on the school's all-time scoring list. Brothers passes former teammate Chloe Stewart and sits just 29 points behind Kristy Hiben for fifth on the all-time list.

Danasha Harris had a strong game on the boards finishing with 14 rebounds to go along with her 15 points. Sabrina McLin had 21 points and 7 rebounds while Mackenzie O'Donnell added 9 points.

The difference in the game was on the foul line where La Roche hit 27 of 36 to Franciscan's 5 of 8. The Lady Redhawks also outrebounded the Barons by twelve and forced 21 turnovers.

La Roche will travel to Medaille on Saturday for their regular season finale. Both squads have clinched a berth in the AMCC Tournament.
