We're In! Lady Redhawks Draw Eastern Mennonite in NCAA Tournament

We're in! The La Roche Lady Redhawks are going dancing for the fifth straight year after receiving an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. La Roche (22-5), who receive the bid after winning the their fifth AMCC title, will play Eastern Mennonite University (22-4) on Friday in an NCAA Tournament First Round game hosted by Thomas More College (Crescent Hills, Kentucky). Friday's winner will play the winner of the other regional game between Thomas More and Greensboro.

The Lady Redhawks return to the NCAA Tournament after defeating Pitt-Greensburg in the AMCC Championship on Saturday. La Roche finished the 2014-15 regular season a 17-1 conference record and a 22-5 overall record. 2-time AMCC Player of the Week Sabrina McLin leads the team with 18.1 points per game while Danasha Harris leads them in rebounds (8.0 rpg) and steals (3.9 spg) and Shataya White in assists (4.1 apg).  

Eastern Mennonite, winners of the ODAC Regular Season Title, is making it's third NCAA Tournament appearance in a row and fourth in school history. The Royals are led by ODAC Player of the Year Jess Rheinheimer (20.1 points, 7.8 rebounds) and ODAC First Teamer Shakeerah Sykes (15.1 points, 9.5 rebounds). Like La Roche, Eastern Mennonite has one of the top offenses in the country so expect a high scoring game.
