Lady Redhawks Predicted to Repeat as AMCC Champions, McLin Preseason Player of the Year

Winners of the past five AMCC women's basketball titles, La Roche College was selected by the AMCC coaches to successfully defend their AMCC title in 2015-16.  After a trip to the 2015 championship game, Pitt-Greensburg was voted to finish second and Pitt-Bradford likely to take third.

La Roche junior guard Sabrina McLin has been selected as the AMCC women's basketball Preseason Player of the Year. McLin was named a D3 News Preseason Honorable Mention All-American. She finished the 2014-15 season second in the AMCC in scoring (19.0ppg) and first in free throw percentage (84.3%) and three-pointers (61). On the defensive end, she was eighth in both blocks (18) and steals (45). McLin scored in double figures every conference game, including a 14-game consecutive streak and ten 20+ point games. McLin was a two-time AMCC player of the week in 2014-15.

The AMCC Championship will be held Sunday, February 28 at the site of the number one seed, with the winner earning the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
