Lady Redhawks Unbeaten Streak Ends in 90-82 Loss at W&J

WASHINGTON, PA – The La Roche women's basketball team's undefeated season came to an end after falling to Washington & Jefferson 90-82 on the road. The Presidents improved to 4-1 on the season with the victory.

The Lady Redhawks entered the fourth quarter down just one point but W&J held the advantage down the stretch. The Presidents scored 12 of the game's final 17 points with a majority coming from the foul line.

La Roche shot a solid 46% from the floor but Washington & Jefferson edged the Redhawks in bench points (18-2) and points in the paint (46-35). W&J also outrebounded La Roche by 15.

TiChina Mitchell had her third straight double-double with 26 points and 13 rebounds. Sabrina McLin finished with 23 points and 5 assists while Mackenzie O'Donnell had 15 points and Danasha Harris 5 steals.

La Roche will travel to Carnegie Mellon on Monday to play another Pittsburgh-area rival.
