ALTOONA, PA – Four Lady Redhawks scored in double-figures and all ten players found the scoresheet as La Roche cruised to a 92-59 victory in their conference-opener at Penn State Altoona.
La Roche grabbed the lead for good after using an 11-0 run just four minutes into the first quarter. They also embarked on a 12-0 and 9-0 run in the second quarter and an 11-0 run in the third quarter.
The Lady Redhawks dominated the scoresheet. They outrebounded Penn State Altoona 50-39, outscored them in the paint by 36 points and forced twenty-eight turnovers. La Roche also held the Lions to just 34% (20 of 59) from the floor while shooting a solid 47% (37 of 79) themselves.
Sabrina McLin (20 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals), TiChina Mitchell (18 points, 8 points), Darrian Johnson (17 points, 3 of 4 three-pointers) and Mackenzie O'Donnell (11 points) all reached double-figures while Danasha Harris (8 rebounds, 5 steals) led La Roche on defense.
Next on the slate for the Lady Redhawks is a Saturday matchup with Penn State Behrend. Tip-off is 4pm.
