Women's Hoops Draws Defending National Champion Thomas More in NCAA Tournament

The La Roche College women's basketball team has drawn defending National Champion Thomas More College in an NCAA First Round Game on Friday night. The Lady Redhawks will play at Thomas More (Crestview Hills, KY) at a time that will be determined tomorrow.

Yesterday, La Roche earned their sixth straight trip to the NCAA Tournament after defeating Pitt-Bradford 82-59 in the AMCC Championship Game. Thomas More is currently the top ranked team in the nation and earned an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament after defeating Washington & Jefferson 93-74 in the PAC Championship. The Saints have won sixty games in a row and are led by 2015 NCAA Player of the Year Sydney Moss.

The game matches two of the top ranked offenses in the nation. La Roche ranks third in the nation in field goal percentage, fifth in scoring margin and assists, sixth in scoring offense, and seventh in steals.

Thomas More ranks second in the nation in scoring offense and leads the country in field goal percentage, scoring margin, turnovers and assists.
