CLEVELAND, OH -- Sabrina McLin and Shawnshirae Brown capped off a fun trip to their hometown with a 76-68 victory over John Carroll on Tuesday night.
Neither team could gain much of an advantage in the first half as La Roche took a 35-34 lead into intermission. Each team enjoyed leads of as many as six points in the first half with John Carroll going up six in first quarter and La Roche six in the second.
The Redhawks made their move in the third quarter outscoring John Carroll 22-15. McLin led the charge with 10 third quarter points and Mackenzie O'Donnell added 8 points.
John Carroll made a run in the fourth quarter and got within three points late. McLin responded with a 6 for 6 performance down the stretch from the free throw line as La Roche hung on for the win.
Harris registered a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. McLin scored a game-high 27 points while Johnson had 16 points and O'Donnell 13 points.
La Roche had a strong shooting day hitting 56% from the field and 78% from the free throw line.
The Redhawks will enjoy the Thanksgiving break and open conference play next Wednesday against Franciscan.
