GREENSBURG, PA – La Roche women's soccer (6-5-4, 4-2-1) outshot Pitt-Greensburg (0-12-2, 0-5-2) 20-3 and Ralene Zajac recorded her sixth shutout of the season as the Lady Redhawks beat the Bobcats 3-0 in conference play on Wednesday night.
Shelby Novak gave the visiting Lady Redhawks the lead less than ten minutes into the game with her fifth goal of the season. Lindsey McKay scored her second of the season in the 48th minute and AMCC goals leader, Bethanie Moreschi, added her thirteenth goal to put the game away.
Jessica Greco and Kelly O'Toole each tallied an assist in the win. La Roche held a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks and possessed the ball in Bobcats' territory for most of the game.
The Lady Redhawks will try to clinch their fifteenth consecutive playoff appearance when they travel to Medaille on Saturday. The Mavericks are coming off of a 2-0 win against Pitt-Bradford.
