Pittsburgh, PA – August 1, 2011 -- La Roche College has named Aaron Wilf the next head coach of the women's tennis program.
Wilf comes to La Roche after serving as head coach of the Chatham University women's tennis team since 2006. In five seasons, Wilf guided Chatham to five top 4 finishes in the President's Athletic Conference. His best season came in 2009 when Chatham finished third in the conference standings and Wilf won Coach of the Year honors.
Prior to Chatham, Wilf served as head tennis coach at Butler High School from 2003-2005. Wilf led Butler to a section championship and two berths in the WPIAL playoffs. He finished with a 40-14 record in three seasons.
Wilf takes over a La Roche team which finished sixth in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference last season.
"Aaron built the Chatham program from the ground up and established a winning atmosphere. We are very excited for Aaron to join the Redhawk family", said La Roche College Athletic Director, Jim Tinkey.
Wilf, a Pittsburgh native, is a 2002 graduate of Dickinson College where he was a four-year letter winner on the men's tennis team.
