Tennis Opens Season With Loss at Geneva

BEAVER, PA -- The La Roche women's tennis team dropped their season opener at Geneva College on Tuesday evening. Geneva has won six straight dating back to last season.

The Redhawks struggled at #1 and #3 doubles but nearly took #2 doubles. Despite playing together for the first time, Kirsten King and Rochelle Selzer found a rhythm and got within two points of the win.

Selzer played strong at #3 singles and Miranda Lasher battled at #4 singles. Rebecca Franks and Jazmyn Davis were excellent in their first collegiate appearances.

The Redhawks open AMCC Conference play on Friday and will host Franciscan.
