Redhawks Take On Rough Terrain at Mingo Park

WASHINGTON, PA -- The La Roche women's and men's cross country teams competed in the Washington & Jefferson Invitational on Friday afternoon at Mingo Park. The women's team placed ninth and the men's team placed eighth. 

Andrea Lucinao and Elizabeth Shields worked together to cross the finish line just twelve seconds apart. Luciano came in at 24:53 while Shields had a personal-best 25:05. Devin Kelly was excellent in her first race of the season placing sixty-second and finishing in 30:35. Seirra Anderson (34:57), Keesha Stuart (43:14) and Shaedaya Varlack (47:53) had quality races on the hilly course.

Kieran Hunt led the men's team for the fourth consecutive week finishing in thirty-second place and 33:36. Johnny Nicholson ranked second on the Redhawks with a 36:10 while Patrick Dailey placed just three spots back at 37:32. Chris Ebbert had a strong performance with a 46:58.

The Redhawks return to action next Saturday at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational (Schenley Park).
