Cross Country Has Strong Performance at Schenley

PITTSBURGH, PA -- The La Roche men's and women's cross country teams competed in the annual Carnegie Mellon Invitational on Saturday morning at Schenley Park. 

Senior Johnny Nicholson paced the men's team with a 35:08 on the hilly 8K course. Lorenz Ryce cruised to a personal-best 37:11 while Patrick Dailey was not far behind at 37:42. Bryan Gatto ran a sub-8 minute pace with a 39:41 with Chris Ebbert crossing in 45:28 and Kieran Hunt in 49:21.

Senior Andrea Luciano guided La Roche with a 25:13 on the tough 6K course. Devin Kelly ran her fastest race of the season with a 27:46 while Seirra Anderson and Kesha Stuart continue to make great strides with a 31:33 and 39:31. 

The men's and women's cross country teams will head to Oberlin College next Saturday. The course is flat and fast.
