Redhawks Close Spring Trip With Fifth Straight Win

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - La Roche's offense came alive in a big way as the Redhawks piled up 18 hits and pulled away for a 12–4 victory over Rivier in a nine-inning matchup.

After a scoreless first inning, La Roche struck in the second. Troy Sallis came around to score when Gabriel Pastrana delivered an RBI single through the left side, giving the Redhawks an early 1–0 lead. Rivier answered in the bottom of the inning to even the score at 1–1.

The Redhawks broke the game open in the third inning with a four-run rally. Aaron Exler started the scoring with an RBI single, and La Roche continued to apply pressure with productive at-bats from Sallis, Kade Sell, and Pastrana to extend the lead to 5–1.

Rivier responded with three runs in the bottom half of the inning to cut the deficit to 5–4, but La Roche quickly regained control in the fourth. Liam Burns drove in a run with a single, Exler added another RBI on a fielder's choice, and Alex Perez followed with an RBI single to stretch the lead to 8–4.

From there, the Redhawks continued to build their advantage. In the sixth inning, Pastrana drove in another run on a fielder's choice before DJ Loveland and Samuel DiCicco each recorded RBI singles to push the lead to 11–4.

La Roche added one more run in the seventh when Sell ripped an RBI double down the left-field line to score Exler and cap the scoring at 12–4.

The Redhawks' offense was dominant throughout the lineup. DiCicco led the way with four hits and two runs, while Perez also collected four hits and an RBI. Sell added three hits and two RBIs, and Pastrana drove in a team-high three runs. Exler finished with two RBIs and two runs scored as La Roche totaled 12 RBIs on the day.

On the mound, Josh Cayer started the game before a group effort from the bullpen secured the win. Jimmy Roe delivered a strong middle relief performance, tossing 4.1 scoreless innings to stabilize the game after Rivier's third-inning rally.
