Wojciechowski's Strong Second Half Lifts Redhawks

ALTOONA, PA – The Redhawks (18-2, 12-1) overcame their largest halftime deficit of the season to beat Penn St. Altoona (4-16, 4-9) 65-60 in an AMCC Conference game at the Alder Center.

The Redhawks trailed 30-20 at the break before putting together a furious second half comeback. Senior guard, Nate Wojciechowski, led the charge with 21 second half points including 6 points in the final two minutes. Sophomore center, Joel McIntosh, recorded 10 points in the second half.

Wojciechowski finished with 25 points to lead all scorers and McIntosh added 18 points and 6 rebounds. Laron Mann recorded 11 points and 5 rebounds and Mike Dixon had a team-leading 7 rebounds.

The Redhawks were outrebounded for only the third time this season but overcame it by playing a strong perimeter game. La Roche went 5 of 8 from three-point range in the second half.

The Redhawks will host D'Youville (5-14, 5-7) on Saturday, February 5 at 6:00PM. D'Youville is coming off of an 86-70 win over Penn State Altoona.
