PITTSBURGH, PA – La Roche sophomore center, Joel McIntosh, tied a season-high with 20 points on 9 of 11 shooting as the Redhawks (22-2, 16-1) downed Franciscan University (3-19, 3-14) 75-60 in AMCC Conference play.

The game was tied with 10:46 left before the Redhawks went on a late run to take control of the contest. Mike Dixon sparked the rally with a three pointer off an assist from Laron Mann. Dixon finished with 11 second half points on 5 of 5 shooting.

The Redhawks enjoyed one of their best shooting performances of the season hitting almost 53% from the field. However, Franciscan controlled the offensive glass to remain in the game until late in the second half.

In addition to McIntosh, Mike Dixon finished with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Laron Mann recorded 13 points and David Jackson added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the win.

Franciscan guard, Tom Kleinschnitz, led all scorers with 23 points.

La Roche Men's Basketball will host Medaille College (19-5, 15-2) on Saturday, February 19 at 4:00PM. Medaille has won ten consecutive games and is coming off of a 74-61 win over Mt. Aloysius on Wednesday.
