At the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg Cross Country Invitational held at the Westmoreland Fairgrounds on Saturday October 2, 2010, the Men's La Roche Team was paced by Jeff Dailey, who finished 11th out of 45 runners in an outstanding time of 30:26 (thirty minutes and 28 seconds) for 5 miles (8,000 meters). Dailey's pace was 6:05 for each of the five miles. Dailey, a La Roche junior, lowered his own personal best time for this distance by 1 minute 43 seconds, a spectacular drop. It should also be noted that Dailey finished 2nd out the 21 AMCC runners from four different AMCC teams in this invitational race (La Roche, Mt. Aloysius, U. Pitt-Greensburg, and Penn State-Altoona). Dominique Clayton, a sophomore in his first cross country season, also set a personal best time at this distance to finish 32nd overall with an impressive time of 34:20. Clayton has clearly been quickening his running speed as the season has progressed, hitting a 6:52 per mile pace in this race. Rounding out the remaining five spots for La Roche were Brandon Schrecengost, 41st place in a time of 39:17; Joseph Dwumfour, 42nd place, 39:30; and Kurt Hoover, 44th place, 39:31. As a team, the La Roche men's squad finished 6th out of the 8 teams entered (1st place team was Point Park, followed by Thiel, Hiram, Penn State-Altoona, Pitt-Greensburg, La Roche, Mt. Aloysius, and and Westmoreland CC).
