PITTSBURGH, Pa. - La Roche women's lacrosse saw six players named All-Conference in the AMCC on Tuesday, as the conference announced its first batch of selections that include a First and Second Team.
JULIANNA HORNIKEL
Hornikel was arguably the best goalie in the conference and one of the best goalies nationally, as she earned AMCC Defensive Player of the Year, alongside First Team All-AMCC Goalkeeper for the second straight season.
Hornikel finised the season with a 4.87 goals against average (1st AMCC) and is 2nd nationally, just 0.11 off the national lead.
She also has a 61.9% save percentage, tops not only in the AMCC, but DIII nationally by nearly 7%. Her 56 goals allowed are the fewest in the AMCC and the 2nd fewest nationally.
Thanks to the goaltending of Hornikel, La Roche finished as one of the best scoring defenses in NCAA DIII.
Hornikel also collected 50 ground balls on the season and provided 19 caused turnovers.
KAYLA MULL
An anchor on the La Roche defense, one that leads the nation in goals allowed per game, earning her second consecutive First Team honor.
Mull provided 33 ground balls and caused 17 turnovers in 2026.
Her defense also translated into offense, as she scored five goals and chipped in four assists on the season.
ALECIA D'URSO
Arguably the most marked attacker in the AMCC, D'Urso still provided a strong offensive season for the Redhawks, earning herself her second consecutive First Team selection.
She finished the regular season with 33 goals (T-4th AMCC) and 11 assists for 44 points (4th AMCC).
She also contributed 27 ground balls, 15 caused turnovers and an 81% shot on goal percentage.
KIKI NEMCEK
Nemcek once again was an all-around threat for the Redhawks, earning her third consecutive All-AMCC selection, this time being named to the Second Team.
On the offensive end, Nemcek provided 15 goals and an assist, but her defense was where she stood out again.
She led the AMCC with 40 caused turnovers and ranks top 10 nationally in caused turnovers per game. Nemcek collected 55 ground balls (T-3rd AMCC) and 29 draw controls.

In 2026, she provided 26 ground balls and eight caused turnovers, leading the defense alongside Mull.

In her second season, Schroeder became a source on both sides of the field, earning her first All-AMCC laurel, named to the Second Team.
On the offensive end, she finished with 19 goals and five assists for 24 points.
On the defensive side, she collected an AMCC leading, 63 ground balls and ranks 6th nationally in ground balls per game at 5.25.
