PITTSBURGH, pa -- La Roche College Women's Volleball (2-4) won one of three games in a quad-match at the Kerr Fitness Center on Saturday, September 11. The Lady Redhawks first matchup of the day was a rematch against Penn State Beaver. On Thursday, La Roche downed the visiting Nittany Lions in three sets, but on Saturday Penn State Beaver enacted revenge and took down the Redhawks 3-1 (19-25, 25-15, 25-19, 25-23). Sophomore libero Shelby Weber had 9 kills. The second game of the day saw the Lady Redhawks defeat Chatham University 3-2 (25-17, 23-25, 21-25, 25-20, 15-13) in a rematch of a September 4 game at Chatham. La Roche fought out of a 2-1 hole to win in one of the most exciting games in the young season. Freshman outside hitter led all players with 11 kills and Weber added 10 kills in the win. The Lady Redhawks fell to Carlow University in three sets (25-9, 25-10, 25-16). La Roche Women's Volleyball will host Waynesburg University on Monday, September 13 at 7:00PM at the Kerr Fitness Center.
