Lentz Throws Complete Game as Redhawks Split

PITTSBURGH, PA – The Redhawks (22-8, 11-4) won the second game of a double-header 2-1 to complete a two game split with Mt. Aloysius (14-12, 7-5) in AMCC Conference play on Wednesday. The Mounties beat La Roche 8-1 in Game 1.

Game 1 starting pitcher, Reed Tomlinson, allowed five runs (two earned runs) on eleven hits in 5 1/3 innings while striking out three batters and walking only one. Tomlinson currently ranks fourth in the nation in walks per nine innings.

Anthony Girdano recorded two hits and scored the Redhawks only run. Dustin Lalle went 1 for 3 with an RBI and Ed Skonieczny reached base twice.

Cole Lentz recorded his first career complete game for the game 2 win. He allowed one run on five hits while striking out five batters and walking one.

Brian Herb went 1 for 3 with an RBI and Ryan Fennell added an RBI on a sacrifice fly. Sean Lubin recorded an RBI and a hit. George Nahay reached base twice and scored a run.

The Redhawks will travel to St. Vincent College on Saturday, April 30 at 1:00PM to take on the Bearcats.
