Five Redhawks Named AMCC All-Conference
Today the AMCC Conference announced its All-Conference Team and five Redhawks were represented. Head Coach, Chase Rowe, was named the AMCC Coach of the Year. James Connelly, Cole Lentz, and George Nahay were named Second Team All-Conference and Dustin Lalle was named to the Third Team.
Rowe led the Redhawks to a 26-14 record and a second-place finish in the AMCC Conference regular season standings. He also led La Roche to an ECAC Tournament bid and the Redhawks first-ever votes in D3Baseball's Top 25 Poll.
Connelly finished the season as La Roche's leader in wins with seven and third in earned run average among starting pitchers. Connelly led the Redhawks with three complete games and struck out 46 batters while only walking eleven.
Lentz finished the season with four wins and led all La Roche starters with a 3.42 ERA. Lentz also tied Connelly for most strikeouts on the team with forty-six.
Nahay led the Redhawks in almost every offensive category and did not make an error at first base. In 40 games, Nahay hit .368, with 30 runs, 50 hits, 4 home runs, 13 doubles, and 4 home runs.
In Lalle's first year as a starter, he hit .338 and led the Redhawks in on base percentage. He also played gold-glove caliber defense in right field.
The Redhawks will travel to Aston, Pennsylvania on Saturday at 10:00AM to take on Penn St. Abington. The winner will play Penn St. Behrend on Sunday at 12:00PM.
