Sepesy Moves into Sixth Place All-Time in Wins as Redhawks Beat St. Vincent

PITTSBURGH, PA – La Roche College Baseball (11-14) scored seven unanswered runs to beat St. Vincent College (16-9) 7-1 in an AMCC vs. PAC matchup on Tuesday at John Arnold Sr. Memorial Field.

Brian Tougher led the Redhawks with 4 RBI and reached base 4 times while Sean Lubin added 2 hits , a walk, an RBI, and scored a run. Shane Healey got on base safely for the ninth consecutive game going 3 for 5 with an RBI and a run scored. He also added a double and a stolen base.

Adam Sepesy recorded his second win of the season and the eleventh of his career to lift him into a tie for sixth place on the school's all-time wins list. Sepesy threw six innings and allowed only one run on one hit while striking out four batters. Walt Hadjuk threw three scoreless innings to extend his scoreless streak to four games and Jesse Bauer threw a perfect ninth inning.

The Redhawks return to conference play on Saturday at 1:00PM when they host D'Youville College. Last season La Roche outscored the Spartans 36-10 in two wins.
